Who We Are

Empowering Local Organizations for Social Change in Central Africa

About us

We believe in a world free of discrimination

We work with community leaders and community-based organizations across the Central Africa Region to build capacity structures and systems for social change.

Our programs are designed to respond directly to the needs of each community, providing resources to local organizations and assisting them in achieving their goals. We do this through research and analysis to inform laws and policies, community support & engagement to enact social change, and enable effective domestic, national, and regional partnerships.

Our story began in 2010 when community members founded MOLI with a vision of more inclusive African societies. Since then, we’ve grown from a small nonprofit to one of the most social impacting and ecosystem-building organizations, working to create systemic change in the Central Africa Region.

Our work

What we do

01.

Advancing research and knowledge

We support the growth of movements by creating knowledge that can be utilized to address significant issues in communities. Our research is guided by community involvement, the pursuit of facts, integrity, and the principle of doing no harm. We examine policies and initiatives to see how they affect equality and inclusion in various communities.

Our approach to inclusion is founded on human rights principles and respect for individual liberties since inclusion is not about the privileged opening doors for the excluded. Read more

03.

Economic Inclusion

In our view, social capital is both an essential and unique aspect of our shared humanity and catalyzes unprecedented gains. We aim to partner with community-based organizations to empower individuals to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for successful social participation. With that comes an increased sense of empowerment and self-esteem, which helps people live more fulfilling lives.

We provide the tools and opportunities necessary for effective inclusion in the economic system and foster social safety nets. The model combines facilitation with training, networking, and coaching access to build capital. Read more

02.

Capacity Building

We aim to strengthen the ability of national and local organizations that we feel are best suited to answer the needs of people in their settings due to their contextual knowledge and cultural sensitivity to local languages.

We work with community leaders and organizations through training and other practical learning methodologies providing interaction and peer learning opportunities. Read more
